Instruction Care - Flowers in a Vase

Once you receive our flower in a vase, fill the vase with two-thirds of fresh, cold tap water. Top up the water the day after receiving your flowers.

Pro tips to make your own preservatives to keep cut flowers fresh longer.

Dissolve 3 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar per quart (liter) of warm water. When you change the water, make sure the cut stems are covered by 3-4 inches (7-10 centimeters) of the prepared water. The sugar nourishes the plants, while the vinegar inhibits bacterial growth. You’ll be surprised how long the arrangement stays fresh.

Remove any foliage that sits below the waterline to avoid the build-up of debris. If your flowers include roses, you may notice some discolored outer petals. These are guard petals, which protect the inner petals. Gently remove 2-3 guard petals to reveal these.

Trim about 2-3 cm from the bottom of the stems at a 45-degree angle.

Change the water regularly after the second day. Just like us, flowers love clean water.

Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight to prolong their life.

Remove any wilted flowers, not only do they look unattractive but they can spread mold onto the others.
